Son is the best guide we could have asked for to guide us through Siem Reap! He and his driver were very nice, offering us plenty of water and cold towels. Son knows everything there is to know about Angkor and the Khmer Empire, he thought us a lot about that time, the construction of the temples and a lot about Cambodian recent history! He was with us for 2 days, and took us to see the main constructions in Angkor – as well as some beautiful and hidden gems!! He is also very helpful and knows the best places to take pictures after hearing the history and exploring each site. Strongly recommend having him with you on your trip to Siem Reap.

“We booked Son Sorm and his driver for 2 days to take us around the ruins and temples of Angkor. They were both very punctual and polite. Son Sorm’s knowledge of Khmer history is amazing and he was continually educating us, its a very interesting place. His knowledge of how to avoid other tour groups is also second to none and quite often you can feel like you are the only people there. He also has some very interesting and sad stories about his personal experiences with the Khmer Rouge having lost members of his family in the brutal genocide. Son Sorm and his driver also kept us topped up with ice cold refreshments in the soaring Cambodian heat. Son Sorm created an excellent itinerary, even finding us a great spot to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. He’s an excellent photographer knowing all the tricks with iPhone photography, again we learnt something new! Son Sorm is very chatty and also keen to learn about our lives and country. All in all we had a fantastic time and learnt so much from a truly nice gentleman. We would thoroughly recommend him and we’re currently looking at revisiting next year with our children.
